The dummy texts live far behind, behind the wordmountains, far from the countries vowels and consonants.
They live isolated in Buchstabhausen on the coast of theSemantik, a large language ocean. A small stream
called Duden flows through their place and supplies them with thenecessary rules. It is a paradisiacal country
where friedparts of sentences fly into your mouth. The dummy texts are not even controlled by the almighty punctuation
–an almostunorthographical life. One day, however, a small line of dummy text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to go
out into the widegrammar. The big oxmox advised her against it, since it was teeming with evil commas, wild question marks and sneaky semicolons, but thedummy text was undeterred. It grabbed its seven capital letters, slipped its initial into its belt and set off. As it climbed thefirst hills of the Italic Mountains, it took one last look backat the skyline of itshometown of Buchstabhausen, the headline ofAlphabetdorf, and the subline of its own street, Liniengasse.
